Three years into living in the USA, I had a lot of drive to capture the essence and beauty of perhaps the most diverse landscape in the world - California. I traveled along the coast and into the mountains to photograph many of the iconic locations like Yosemite, Mono Lake and Big Sur. I was also inspired by the landscape of San Francisco to showcase some of it. The year involved many camping trips as well as staying in some beautiful cabins in the Eastern Sierras and Northern Finland where I photographed the fall colors and made trips to Norway. 2009 of course had its limitation with the  technology compared to the modern day. For part of the year I used a Canon 20D camera which was considered a good camera at the time with its 8mp censor. The other part of the year I used Canon 5D Mark II camera and 17-40L f/4 and 70-200L f/4 for these shots.
